Winning disputes when you sell across borders

A chargeback is not a refund. It is a case, and cases are won or lost on evidence you either gathered in advance or did not.

A chargeback arrives looking like a refund, and treating it like one is the first mistake. A refund is a decision you make. A chargeback is a case opened against you by the buyer's bank, with a deadline and a verdict at the end. You can win it or lose it, and the outcome is decided almost entirely by evidence you either gathered before the sale or did not.

Stop the fraud you can, before it bills

The cheapest dispute is the one that never happens. Real-time scoring at checkout catches the orders that look wrong, from mismatched geography to velocity patterns no honest buyer produces. Blocking those before they bill keeps your dispute rate low and, just as importantly, keeps your standing with the card networks healthy. A clean rate is leverage you do not notice until you lose it.

Win the rest on evidence

For the disputes that do come through, representment is a documentation exercise. The license key delivered, the login activity, the localized receipt, the IP and device evidence, the terms the buyer accepted. Banks decide on the strength of the file, and a strong file assembled automatically beats a scramble through inboxes every time.
