Who carries the chargeback liability?

We do. As the merchant of record the dispute is filed against Nordgate, we represent it on your behalf, and we absorb the loss when it is not recoverable.

How fast is the scoring decision?

The model returns a decision in well under a second, so the buyer never waits. High-risk orders get a step-up like 3-D Secure rather than a hard block where the signal is ambiguous.

Will fraud rules block my real customers?

The model is tuned for a low false-positive rate and reviewed continuously against your own order patterns. You can also allow-list known buyers and set per-market sensitivity.

What signals does the model use?

Device, network, behavioral, and payment signals, plus cross-merchant patterns from the wider Nordgate network. No single signal decides an order; the model weighs them together.

Do I have to manage a review queue?

Only if you want to. Most sellers let our risk team work the review queue. You keep visibility into every decision and can override any of them.
